Lemoncello / Orangecello
Ingredients

​​1 liter of your best vodka​
12 Meyer lemons
(or oranges)
sugar ​
32 oz mason jar (or similar)​
cheesecloth
water

Directions

Grate 12 Meyer lemons and separate the rind into a 32 oz mason jar.
​
Pour your best liter of vodka into the jar, shake well and close lid. Store in fridge for one week.

Make a syrup by putting 3 cups of water and 1 cup sugar in a pot to boil. After 5 min of boiling, shut off the stove and let it sit until room temperature.

Pour your vodka and lemon rind mixture through the cheesecloth into a large container. Twist all the juices from the rind out with the cheesecloth.
​
Dispose your rinds or freeze for later.
Pour the syrup into the vodka lemon mix and lightly stir.
​
Bottle accordingly.
